Bringing The North to The World

Welcome to our website, this is where our love for travel, sport and community collide

Thanks for stopping by

Thanks for stopping by, I’m Raistlin van Spronsen and this is my travel blog. I’m a Canadian who loves to travel and share about traveling. I also enjoy sports, events and being involved in our community

I’ve also enjoyed making connections with many individuals throughout my travels and involvement in different organizations from Hockey Canada to local youth organizations

Creating Travel & Community since 2012

While my original YouTube channel isn’t active anymore, and I have had to create a new channel last year, I have been creating and publishing videos dating back to 2012 when my first video was my first solo trip to Vancouver

I’ve learned alot about traveling and creating videos over the years. Here’s a small sample of what to expect from my channel

Travel

Trip Reports

Covering full journeys from an orgin to my destination capturing different aspects of the trip

Accomodation Reviews

Reviewing my accmodations hotels, AirBNB’s and vacation rentals only, doesn’t include any family members’ homes

Travel Vlogs

Go through a day-in-the-life during my trips with vlog style videos of my activities during the day

Attraction Review

Museums, parks and attractions will be reviewed as I visit them during my travels

Events & Sports

Travels

Creating trip report videos if I’m needing to travel for an event or sports competition to photograph

Accomodations

Reviewing my accomodations in these locations if needed to stay in hotel or motels for the event. Most are often paid by the organizer

Event Vlogs

Capturing many aspects of an event from live music to the attendees

Competition Vlogs

Capturing different aspects of competition from the skaters, spectators and even officials. There may be short interviews as well.

Our Videos

Just a few of the many videos you can find on our channel. I usually create long-form video type of content with most videos being at least 20 minutes or longer.

There are some videos that are shorter (timelapses, shorter transit routes, shorter trip report videos or event promo videos)
