As any artist would have their own space to paint, draw or experiment. I have designed and hand selected certain components to set up my own space for my home office.
The Desk
The desk is by far probably of of the most important components of an office space, after all you need some sort of surface to work on. I had an old desk that I got off of Facebook Marketplace for a cheap price and it had served it’s time. It was starting to loose it’s balance and was only a matter of time that it would collapse with everything on it. Thankfully it never got to that point (this is where my Dad spoiled me on my space with a new desk and new chair)
The desk I settled on is called the Shawburn desk from Ashley Furniture (we got it at a local furniture store) It has an adequate amount of desk space, 3 deep drawers and has been a solid option for all my needs from photo editing to making phone calls to service providers and working out deals for my home services.
The Office Chair
Another key component would be your office chair, if you are going to be sitting for extended amounts of time working you need a chair that is comfortable. My office chair is an Amazon product, by a quick search it looks as they no longer carry this exact model but have similar products
Custom Desktop PC
My custom desktop PC was purchased in Spring of 2020, over 6 years ago and has served me well. My computer has been a workhorse for both photography, videography and my website work. It has the following specifications:
Intel i7-6700
16GB DDR4 RAM
500GB SSD
2GB Graphic adapter
27 inch Dell monitor
Bluefinger RGB keyboard and mouse set
My upgraded PC would have the following;
AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor
32GB DDR5 RAM
2TB SSD M.2
ASUS RTX 3060 (12GB VRAM)
Fractal Design Case
My PC upgrade is a project I’m slowly working on, I’ve opted to buy the components over time and then built the PC once I have all everything I need for the PC.
Desktop Accessories
In addition to my desktop PC I have a wide range of accessories that I have purchased over the years to accommodate my needs in the office
