Our Trips
Our Journeys'
Over the years dating back to as early as 2008, I’ve had my fair share of traveling together with my family, and my own solo trips.
As a family I’ve traveled across North America from numerous of locations from our involvement with the local speed skating club as athletes, to our annual Christmas trips to California (and the one year to Hawaii)
As a solo traveler I continued traveling around Western Canada as a speed skating coach and official, I’ve also made solo trips to Edmonton, Prince George and other locations for a wide variety of trips.
2024 BC Winter Games
The 2024 Lhatako-Quesnel BC Winter Games were held in February 2024, and I was privileged with the task as an Assistant Coach for Zone 8 to attend the Games. The Speed Skating venue was in Prince George so it was great to see some of my PG friends come out and support us, in addition my few Quesnel friends came out and visited me in Quesnel as well
Vancouver 2020
2020 was an interesting year for traveling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nevertheless I made a trip to Vancouver to visit with Randy and my grandmother before she passed in 2021. This was the first Vancouver trip that I documented the entire journey from beginning to end (from leaving Dawson to back in Dawson)
Prince George 2020
Shortly after the 2020 BC Winter Games I took a trip to Prince George to attend an Intro to Competition coaches training session. This was made possible with the endorsement of our club and the partnership with ViaSport BC, Engage Sport North.
BC Winter Games 2020
The 2020 BC Winter Games was a very exciting weekend with my first ever Games as a Zone Coach and with the partnership with Special Olympics BC we coached athletes from across BC as they competed for medals in the Special Olympics category. It was strange seeing some of those who coached me over the years attending as I coached my first multi-sport event.
